About this video
The hamstrings! Most people have heard of these muscles (they are three individual muscles that together are known as the hamstrings), and they are commonly tight. Check out the hamstring stretches in my video library. Today, we are looking at strengthening your hamstrings – here’s why this is a good idea: 🦵 Helps reduce the risk of hamstring injuries. 🦵 Weak hamstrings can contribute to poor pelvic control, which may lead to lower back pain. 🦵 Balancing the strength between your hamstrings and their opposing muscles, the quadriceps (the muscles at the front of your thighs), helps support knee stability and improves functional mobility. 🦵 If you are sporty, strong hamstrings can boost your performance in terms of speed and endurance. I’ve included a mix of options to suit all abilities! 😁😁
