Emily’s approach

Considering osteopathy? Oadby patients start here

Osteopaths are trained to look at the whole person, not just the sore bit – and that is how Emily works.

  • Your lifestyle, work, stress, sleep, previous injuries and general health are all considered.
  • No treatment is given without a clear explanation and your consent.
  • If you need a referral, it is made quickly and at no extra cost.

  1. Listening first

A full case history comes first – your symptoms, what happened and when, and your general health – so you are understood as a whole person.

  2. A thorough examination

The area causing problems is examined, using a highly developed sense of touch to find weakness or strain. Gym clothing is ideal.

  3. A clear explanation

Your diagnosis is explained in everyday language, with short, medium and long-term goals, and followed up in a written treatment plan emailed to you.

  4. Treatment and advice

Hands-on treatment such as soft-tissue release and joint mobilisation, plus an exercise programme created for you and updated as you improve.

  • Open to all, whether or not you see Emily for osteopathy
  • First-timers and returners alike
  • Osteopathy patients wanting continued aftercare
  • Pregnancy and the months after the birth

“Recovery from any injury is a journey. Walking the road of recovery with every single patient I treat is a privilege.”
